Cycle 27 • Day 4

We are on day 4 of a new chemo protocol. The protocol is new to us, but actually an older protocol which includes several drugs that I've never experinced as well as one of my old-time stand-by drugs - Cis Platinum.

I receive the all of the drugs on Monday:

- Cyclophosphamide
- Dactinomycin
- Vinblastine
- Cisplatinum

On days 2-5 I only recieve the cisplatinum. In addition, we are using new method of controlling the nasuea, which includes Zofran, but also Frenergran.

The change in protocol was prompted by a new CT scan which had good improvement and one area which we couldn't till. So the plan is to do this protocol for 2 cycles (28 days each) and then re-do the CT scan to see how things look.

That's about it for now!

Daily Ride • Summary

The Tour de France is in full swing and today was the first ride in many, many months.

I don't know if it was watch Lance the past two days or just the desire to get back onto the bike, it doesn't matter, it was great.

This has clearly been a missing diversion the past months, but, then again the past months have been filled with so much that at times, getting on the bike just wasn't something that came to mind. Alas, hopefully, I fill be on the bike again this week?

Ride details: 6.7 miles; 38:58 minutes; 129avg/168max HR; 358K cal consumed; 80°; 11.9avg/19.6max MPH.
